With each Windows product update, new features are highlighted through the Windows Welcome Experience. The illustrations representing these features must accomplish two things: to conceptually reflect the accompanying action text, and to spark enough curiosity for the user to want to learn more.

Concepts and context
Three calls to action are present, rotated according to demographic. For each release cycle, 9 concepts are drawn in two versions for A/B testing, leveraging illustration from Microsoft Brand to create custom scenarios.
Text strings dictate concept. 
Concepts evolve with art direction.
Several viable concepts are reviewed by the team.
The approved concept is added to the rotation.
